A Women Led Mission to Transform Cassava into Economic Opportunity. In a nation where 78% of the population is considered food insecure, the need for resilient, locallydriven food solutions has never been greater. Cassava, Sierra Leone's second most important food crop after rice, holds immense potential to address this challenge, yet its value chain remains underdeveloped, offering limited economic returns, especially for women. From the heart of Port Loko, the Gender Impact and Women in Entrepreneurship Initiative (GIWEI) is spearheading a transformative project to change this narrative
